China International Machine Tool Show (CIMT) founded in 1989 by China Machine Tool & Tool Builders’ Association, is the most prestigious international machine tool exhibition in China every odd-numbered year. It is one of the big-four international machine tools exhibition in the world. The other three are EMO, IMTS and JIMTOF. In the past 30 years, the international influence of CIMT has been increasing. It has become an important place for technology exchange and trade of international advanced manufacturing. It has become a platform for the latest achievements in modern equipment manufacturing technology. It is a vane and barometer for the progress of mechanical manufacturing technology and the development of machine tool industry in China. CIMT brings together the most advanced and applicable machine tool products in the world. It is an international showcase for domestic buyers and users.
The 15th China International Machine Tool show (CIMT2017) was held at the China International Exhibition Center (new venue) in Beijing on 17-22 April 2017. The theme of the exhibition is "new demand, new supply and new momentum". It occupies all 8 pavilions of the exhibition center and 8 temporary exhibition pavilions on the east side of the center. The total area of the exhibition is 131 thousand square meters. Domestic and overseas exhibitors account for about 50% of the total exhibition area. The exhibition has attracted 1653 exhibitors from mainland China and 27 other countries and regions, up 5.5% than the previous one, including 812 domestic exhibitors and 841 overseas exhibitors. A total of 12 countries and regions, including Germany, the United States, Switzerland, Japan, etc., organized national and regional exhibition groups. During the exhibition, 63 organizers and exhibitors organized 121 forums, conferences and technical exchange activities. The 6-day exhibition attracted 125500 professional visitors from 82 countries and regions. The total number of visitors was 320484. The coverage of exhibit varieties and specifications were all time high. Tens of thousands of exhibits include machine tools, functional components, CNC systems, measuring instruments, electrical appliances, cutting tools, accessories, etc.. The latest products of "China debut", "Asian debut" and "global debut" are just too many to watch for visitors, providing the most extensive choices for the purchasers.
The 16th China International Machine Tool Exhibition (CIMT2019) will be held on Apr. 15-20, 2019 at China International Exhibition Center (new venue) in Beijing, with its theme of “win the smart future together”. It’ll use the total 8 indoor exhibition halls of CIEC together with 6 temporary halls and the total exhibition area will be 142,000 square meters. There are over 1700 exhibitors in machine tool & tool industry from 28 countries and regions participating in the show. Among them 874 exhibitors from overseas and 838 from home with each exhibition space being around 50%. And machine tool associations and trade promotion agencies from13 countries & regions of Czech Republic, France, Germany, India, Italy, Japan, Spain, South Korea, Switzerland, UK, US, Taiwan and Hong Kong will form their own pavilions to attend the exhibition. Leading machine tool manufacturers from all over the world will be present and bring their latest technology and products to the show.
